Fortnum & mason

Fortnum & Mason is a store with a lot of history behind it. It's actually dating back to the 1700's when Queen Charlotte reigned. The store is based in Piccadilly in London and there are two other branches in Japan also. Unlike Harrods, Harvey Nicols and Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason isn't the sort of department store that sells floors of designer products. It mainly focuses on high quality food, which is primarily what the store has always been well renowned for in the first place. Fortnum & Mason is recognised internationally as a British symbol. It has held many royal warrants for the past 150 years. Founded as a grocery store Fortnum's reputation was built on supplying quality food and saw rapid growth throughout the Victorian era. Though Fortnum's has developed in to a department store, it continues to focus on stocking a variety of exotic speciality and also basic provisions. The store opening times are;
Monday-Saturday  10am-8pm
Sunday 12noon- 6pm
